snowboard tip of the week - use protection

Protection is key when Snowboarding. To help guarantee a good vacation in the snow, use wrist guards and helmets. Snowboarders fall differently than skiers, and the fall can be braced by their hands. This puts a huge amount of force on the wrist and hand bones sometimes resulting in fractures. One way to try and avoid that is not to fall, another is use wrist protection. Just by using a wrist guard you can lower your chance of traumatic bone and ligament injury.

The other location on your body that needs protection is your head, from beginning snowboarders to riders working on tricks, if you are going to have a board on your feet you should have a helmet on your head.
